workforces in the region, Bahrain has
always been a trailblazer when it comes
to gender equality, and I take great pride
in the fact that the Bahrain Economic
Development Board is no different.
Here at the EDB, women comprise 59%
of employees and 20% of management.
We also run a number of initiatives and
policies that support working women and
further encourage female empowerment.
I am particularly proud of our equal
opportunities committee who work
tirelessly to ensure that the EDB remains
