Esmahan Bokhowa

Saar Mall Managing Director, Bokhowa Contracting & Trading Group W.L.L. A high profile and
visionary female entrepreneur who is recognized as a leader in both retail mall management

and her community. Started out as an accounting trainee and rose through the ranks to
become finance director in the Bokhowa Group, the family-owned conglomerate with
subsidiaries in construction, trading, real estate and retail.
In a parallel role as general manager at Saar Mall, has successfully established the Mall at the
heart of the Saar neighborhood by actively engaging with the community through an
expanding programme of promotions, charity and cultural events.

I have an MBA from Torrens University in Australia, and an honorary member of the Saar

Club, sits on Tamkeen Advisory Board for the retail, construction and services sectors and
others, board member of Businesswoman Society (Head of Economic Committee ), I have
been listed as one of Bahrain’s Most Influential Women in Gulf Magazine for the past three
years.

I introduced an Optimum Payroll Accounting system to ensure the accurate distribution of
salaries for our workforce of over 3000 staff. In order to motivate colleagues and
demonstrate our appreciation of their efforts, I introduced the system of honouring them
with cash rewards and commendatory certificates. I arranged different training courses for

the staff to polish their professional skills, reduce employee turnover and increase work
efficiency. This resulted in higher productivity and required minimal supervision.
