Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society worked to support raising the share of representation of its members on
the boards of directors of economic institutions, investment and public companies and other institutions of
economic concern. It is also keen on joint cooperation and exchange of ideas with local and international
societies by signing memoranda of understanding.
As for our priorities for the current session, we are working on the participation of the members of
the society in electronic platforms and promoting their work through digital and social media through
cooperation with our various partners such as the Supreme Council for Women, the Bahrain Chamber of
Commerce and the Bahrain Internet Society and Tamkeen.
We will continue to embrace youth capabilities, support young women entrepreneurs and those with
virtual crs, and develop their businesses.
At the same time, we are working on Bahrain’s Women Export Center in cooperation with the Supreme
Council for Women, displaying Bahraini products of our members in the Qaysaria market at the new
Bahrain International Airport in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women and the airport
administration, as well as supporting the members to rent shops in the Baraha Market project.
We will work on training female members in various topics in cooperation with a number of academic
and training institutions like the American University in Bahrain, organizing workshops to train female
members in cooperation with the UNIDO Office for Investment and Technology Promotion on how to
adapt to current and future changes in light of the Corona pandemic, and training on electronic tenders in
cooperation with the Bahrain Tender Board and the Supreme Council for Women.
We have also launched the book of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society on the occasion of the 20th
anniversary documenting the history and efforts of the Society.
I would like thank each and every single member of the Society and the board members of the former and
currentsession for their efforts.
I would also like to thank the Elections Committee for their efforts to arrange and coordinate the elections
for the current session 2021-2023 and I congratulate my fellow new board members.
On my own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Board of Directors, we congratulate you on the
21st anniversary of the establishment of the first Businesswomen’s Society in Bahrain and the Arabian
Gulf.
Thank you and we will continue to work together for the development and advancement of women to
raise the status of Bahraini women economically locally and internationally.
Best Wishes.
