Message from the President
“Aiming at Achieving the highest level of representation of
Bahraini businesswomen locally and internationally”
On behalf of myself and the members of the board of directors of the Bahrain
Businesswomen’s Society, I am pleased to present to you the Summary Report
2018/2020, covering the two years of the 10th term of the board of directors and
sharing the statement of activities and achievements made.
As a president and one of the founders of Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, established since 2000، we look forward
to celebrating 20th year Anniversary and its’ first establishment in the gulf region in 2020. I would like to extend my
sincere thanks and appreciation to the support of our former founders, stakeholders, board members, members and
administrative staff for the success and the achievement of the society goals.
In this regard, we witness a great representation of women in various sectors. Today, our members are representative
in various organizations: Organization of Economic Council Development (OECD), United Nations (UN), Supreme
Women Council, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, and Shura Council, Bahrain Council of Representatives, Capital
Municipal Council, Board Members representatives in Private and Government organizations.
The Board executes the main vision and strategy of the Society through its’ committees. It organizes economic
majlises and invites the country related official decision makers. The society committees are economic, social,
cultural, follow up and coordination, and entrepreneurship. In additional to our current committees, we have created
a series of initiatives: Advisory and Youth Education Committees aiming at consolidating the principle of sustainable
development and strategic goals that are align with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
In this context, we at the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society are working to provide support to the Bahraini
businesswomen’s initiatives through hosting specialized events, activities, workshops and joint committee programs.
Further, the society is committed to serving the interests of the Bahraini and non-Bahraini businesswomen members’
businesses through bolstering international relations and improving trade prospects and agreements outside the
Kingdom of Bahrain.
I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty
King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman
Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy
Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Her Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa,
the wife of the King, President of Supreme Council for Women, the First Honorary President of the Society and Her
Highness Sheikha Thajba Bint Salman Al Khalifa, the Society Honorary President for their support in empowering the
representation of women in both the private and government sector, for paving the way for the achievement of the
Bahraini businesswomen and for building a sustainable business society.
